Provo is a city in Utah County, Utah. It is located between the eastern coast of Utah Lake and the western mountains of the Wasatch Range. Provo is the principal city of Utah County and is the third largest city in the state of Utah. Provo forms the Provo-Orem Metropolitan Area, which includes about half a million people. The Provo Utah Temple is the 17th constructed and 15th operating temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The 128, 325 square foot temple sits on 17 acres at the base of Rock Canyon and is a landmark of Provo.

Public education in the city is provided by Provo School District, which includes twenty total schools.

Provo offers an enormous amount of recreational opportunities with more than 30 total parks that include facilities and fields for typical sports. The Riverside Country Club is a private club that features 18 hole golf course, swimming, tennis, pro shop and clubhouse. The Reserve At East Bay Golf Course includes 18 hole golf course, 9 hole executive course, driving range, pro shop and restaurant. The Utah Lake State Park is a 96,000 acre area located along Utah Lake and offers a variety of water and land activities.

Provo is home to a large business presence that continues to expand throughout the city's neighborhoods. The 820 North Business Park covers 250 acres and already has operating tenants. The East Bay Business Center sits on 450 acres and includes business research centers and retailers. The Riverwood Business & Retail Park includes research facilities, business offices, restaurants, and a 12-screen movie theater, in a spectacular environment by Mount Timpanogos.

The Provo Town Centre features dinning, entertainment and shopping all under one roof with more than 100 stores, multiple restaurants, and a 16-screen Cinemark movie theater. Downtown Provo also offers great places for shopping, eating and entertainment with over 150 stores and dozens of restaurants in the beautiful streets at the heart of the city.

The Provo Municipal Airport offers general aviation and is the second busiest public airport in Utah with over 170,000 aircraft operations a year. The airport is mostly used for flight training and is home to flight schools, including one operated by Utah Valley University.
